“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”
Cristina’s Story
“I grew up in an evangelical Christian home, where I witnessed abuse both at home and within my local church. What I experienced shook everything I believed. It challenged my emotions, my relationships, and my faith. For years, I struggled with chronic pain, insomnia, digestive issues, anxiety, fear, depression, and a depth of emotional pain that affected every area of my life.
The abuse I experienced left me asking one central question: What is true, and what is false? That question led me on a search for truth—truth about my emotions and whether what I was feeling was normal or even allowed; truth about God and who He really is; truth about relationships and the difference between what is healthy and what is destructive; and truth about my faith and why I believe what I believe.
After years of wrestling with God and returning again and again to the pages of Scripture, I discovered something life-changing. I learned that God is sovereign over my suffering, that He sees me, that He is near to the brokenhearted, and that He lovingly wipes away my tears. I discovered that He desires a relationship with me and that His Word is where truth is found—truth that brings freedom. If you seek it, you will find it.
Today, my hope is that every woman I walk with feels truly seen and heard, leaves with words to tell her story, and knows that her story matters deeply to God. My prayer is that she walks away anchored not in her circumstances, but in God’s faithful character and promises.”

✦ Abuse
Abuse is the misuse of power that causes harm—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—and can leave deep wounds, making it hard to trust others, feel safe, or see your true worth in God’s eyes, affecting your relationships and your walk with Him.
✦ Trauma
Trauma is the deep emotional or spiritual wound caused by painful or overwhelming experiences, which can leave us feeling afraid, stuck, or hurt by the past, shaping how we live today and making it hard to move forward in God’s peace.
✦ Relationships
Relationships are the connections and bonds we have with others, shaping how we give and receive love, trust, and support, and struggles in them—whether with family, friends, or a spouse—can leave us feeling lonely, misunderstood, or hurt, and can affect how we experience God’s love in our lives.
✦ Faith
Faith is trusting in God, His promises, and His Word, even when we cannot see the full picture, and during times of suffering or uncertainty, it can be tested as we wonder if God sees us, cares for us, or loves us, while growing faith brings hope, courage, and guidance in the midst of life’s challenges.

✦ H - Holy Spirit–Led
Every session begins in dependence on the Holy Spirit. We open in prayer, asking God for wisdom, discernment, comfort, and direction. True heart change comes not from human effort alone, but from the work of God within us. (James 1:5; John 16:13)
✦ E - Express Your Story
You are invited to share your heart—your struggles, emotions, questions, and experiences. This is a safe and compassionate space where you are listened to intentionally and patiently, without rushing or judgment. (Proverbs 20:5; Romans 12:15)
✦ A - Acknowledge the Heart
Together, we gently acknowledge what is happening beneath the surface. This includes validating suffering, discerning patterns of the heart, and addressing sin with grace and truth. Thoughtful questions help bring clarity, not shame. (Psalm 34:18; Proverbs 4:23)
✦ R - Renew your Mind
God’s Word is central to each session. We thoughtfully apply Scripture to your specific situation, offering biblical hope, perspective, and encouragement that points you to Christ and His faithfulness. (Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12)
✦ T - Take Faithful Steps
Each session ends with a clear and practical plan of action. These next steps help you live out biblical truth in everyday life. We close in prayer, and you will receive a follow-up email with Scripture-based reflections and assignments to support growth between sessions. (James 1:22; Psalm 119:105)

Biblical care is Christ-centered soul care that helps individuals understand their struggles through the lens of Scripture and apply God’s truth to real-life challenges. It is not merely behavior-focused or advice-driven, but heart-oriented—addressing thoughts, emotions, desires, relationships, and suffering in light of the gospel. In biblical counseling, God’s Word is the foundation, the Holy Spirit is the guide, and Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of hope, healing, and transformation.
-
The Bible is God’s Word—written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit—and it reveals who God is, what He is like, and how He relates to us. It tells the story of God’s redemptive work through Jesus Christ and offers truth, wisdom, and hope for everyday life. In counseling, the Bible is not used to shame or dismiss pain, but to bring clarity, comfort, and truth that leads to healing and freedom.
-
Biblical care is for women who feel overwhelmed, wounded, confused, or spiritually weary—and who are seeking truth, clarity, and hope through Scripture. Many of the women I walk with are navigating the aftermath of abuse, trauma, destructive relationships, or deep questions about faith. You do not need to have all the answers or even feel spiritually strong. If you are searching for truth and longing to be seen, heard, and helped through the Word of God, biblical counseling may be for you.
-
Sessions are prayerful, compassionate, and confidential, conversational and Christ Centered. I listen carefully to your story and walk with you through Scripture to help you process your experiences and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

Biblical care is distinct in that it is grounded in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. While experiences and emotions are taken seriously, the goal is not simply relief, but transformation through the truth of God’s Word and the work of the Holy Spirit. My approach is shaped by the conviction that God is sovereign over suffering, near to the brokenhearted, and deeply involved in the lives of His people. Lasting hope is found not in circumstances changing, but in knowing God and trusting His promises.
-
Yes. Sessions are confidential and handled with care, wisdom, and integrity. I understand how difficult it can be to share your story—especially for those who have experienced abuse or spiritual harm. There are limited exceptions to confidentiality when required by law, which will be explained clearly in our first session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to speak honestly and freely.
-
Biblical care may be right for you if you are seeking truth, are open to Scripture speaking into your life, and desire to grow—even if you feel hesitant, unsure, or deeply wounded. Many women come carrying questions like, Is what I’m feeling normal? Does God really see me? Can things change? You do not need to have strong faith or clear answers to begin. If you are longing to be anchored in truth rather than circumstances, biblical counseling may be a helpful next step.Test
